history THE HISTORY OF FAROH’S CANDIES
Mr. Taufie Faroh began making candy in his basement in Lorain, Ohio in 1932. He and his wife, Meheba, had 10 children, who helped the business grow by loading the candy in their wagon and selling it to the people in Lorain. In 1947, Faroh’s Candies was established when his two sons, George and Charles, built the store in Lorain, Ohio. While George made the candy using his own recipes, Charles ran the store. George and Charles continued with this partnership until George decided to expand into the Cleveland area, where Tom is still making candy today. The most famous of Grandpa Taufie's recipes are the French chocolates and mallo, which continue to be top sellers.
